To guarantee access to medical oxygen for patients in West Africa, SCCM has initiated a worldwide healthcare effort called the Africa Infrastructure Relief and Support (AIRS) project, funded by a grant from Direct Relief. This initiative is a partnership with the Johns Hopkins Global Alliance of Perioperative Professionals (GAPP) and the Institute of Global Perioperative Care. Officials in The Gambia, Liberia, and Sierra Leone will pinpoint precise requirements related to medical oxygen, encompassing hospital infrastructure, oxygen generation facilities, and solar energy solutions.
